Picked up in the Little Telephone book Exchange, Low Coniscliffe,Darlington
Amazing read! I found I couldn't put this book down, so invested in the characters had I become. It's fascinating from a historical perspective and I'm ashamed to admit I was woefully ill informed about leprosy. The stories the author has woven however are heartwarming and it's easy to see why this book is so immensely popular.
