The Cat and his friends have arrived safe and sound. The Finnish version of this book was read to us time and again when we were small. Dad was doing different voices for different animals when reading the Elephant's child and we absolutely loved it. The translation was very old, so when my brother grew up he translated it again, but I have to confess I have not read it as when reading the old one I can still hear Dad's voice. So, estelle1806, this is far from an avarage read!!
I have never read this in English, so sending this book wasn't a waste. Thank you also for those new tea brands and the label, they will be put into use in no time.

Finished the first tale and began the second. These definately need to be read aloud, O Best Beloved. Slowly, with feeling. Great!
Pic: Here is a cat that certainly walked by herself - for five years. She must have lived with somebody during that time as she was so friendly and in good condition when taken to a shelter. Luckily she was microchipped, so she was able to return home for Christmas 2018 (the family had moved while she was walking by herself, so she could not have returned on her own). Here she is just after the owner picked her up from the shelter; on their way home she came to have her booster vaccinations. What a Christmas present to have your pet back after five long years!

Finished. This was a fast and an enjoyable read. The Cat is ready to walk on. He continues to the international winner of my 9th Bookiversary RABCK. This is book 2/9. Remember to read it aloud! Even better if you happen to have a young audience.
Thank you for the book. I will read it aloud even though there is no young audience. I love the cat and mouse note card--you picked the cutest card--and the moomin stamps are adorable.
These are fun and enjoyable stories. I agree that they are best read aloud and shared with little ones. I will have to hunt around to find it a good home or wild release it somewhere appropriate.
