Matarena is a hopeless romantic. When her partner of 12 years drunkenly proposes, she tries to dismiss it, but she just can't help herself - she's already planning the wedding in her head.

This is warm and funny without shying away from the truth of life in Tahiti - it's like "Once Were Warriors" as comedy rather than tragedy. I didn't enjoy it as much as " Frangipani", to which this is the prequel.
