This book was a generous RABCK from bookfrogster. It took almost 3 months to arrive as the mail service here in Ecuador is famously unreliable, so it was a wonderful and surprising moment when I was told that I had a package. And then I found 2 books inside instead of the one I'd been offered - very exciting!

Thanks for brightening my day with some English language books. (Well, the pleasure will last for at least the entire weekend and perhaps longer.)

I enjoyed this book. Although I'm quite far from my youth, I remember lots of conflicted feelings which were reflected well in the writing.

I passed it on to a 9th grade student who asked me if I had any books in English. He said he had read it in Spanish and enjoyed it, so he was looking forward to reading it in English. He also said he intended to give it back to me but that didn't happen before the school year ended. Hopefully he'll pass it on to another appreciative reader.
