This book is set in the pre-Queer As Folk days and the closeted-ness of the main character living in a major city (Chicago!) is hard to imagine in current times. Chicago was super gay when I lived there and this is a stark contrast in visibility and acceptance in just a few short decades. If you can wrap your head around that - or if you're of an age where you can relate to this closeted lifestyle - then you will probably enjoy this book.
This is a trade paperback in good condition. Reserving for the june 2019 LGBT book release challenge.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Released at the Kansas City Pride Festival as part of the 2019 LGBTQ Release Challenge.
This book was written 25 years ago, and unlike my other release from the same year, this book feels awfully outdated.
It's an adult coming out story and it's quite humorous. The anxiety around coming out (at home, to friends, to colleagues and bosses) may feel familiar, but the part that is hard to relate to in 2019 is that the protagonist is fearful of coming out -- in Chicago. Chicago is *super gay* so it's hard to imagine anyone in downtown or northside Chicago being fearful of being outed. But if you read it for the time period it is set in, it's a fun enough read.

If you found this at PRIDE - enjoy! This book is now yours to do with what you want. Read it and pass it on. I would love if you leave a journal entry or release notes so I know what happened to this book after I released it into the wild. You can journal anonymously, or you can register so that you can track this book on its journey.
