This is not an ordinary book: it's a BookCrossing book! BookCrossing books are world travelers - they like to have adventures and make new friends...and every once in a while they even write home to say what they've been doing.

This copy came from the HBMF; larger photo here.

I keep thinking I'll read this, and then I don't. It's better for it to travel.

Here's another copy on my BookCrossing shelf.

I love Sherman Alexi-thank you! This will make a great book for give-away😊
Hopefully I can get there this summer. The date seems to be permanently changed from first of July to end of July, but at least this year I have advanced notice… And pray the theater is not deciding to permanently Change the season opening to mid August. As my father used to say (no I don’t understand it) fingers crossed and pucker strings puckered.

This great book was my introduction to Alexie, and I totally enjoyed reading it again!

Camping at Hovenweep, on my way to Little Big Medicine Sundance, trying to get notes in before I lose cell service.

Thanks again,hyphen8. I love having a book for one of the older children (the Wopila is for all those 12 and under).

Surprise! Being released on the Rez, I know you weren’t expecting to hear from this book again… But weirdly, for some unremembered reason it came home with me again… did it lose it self under the seat of my car And miss going with the others? I have no idea,. Nor do I remember when it came back in the house, though it must’ve been on one of the rare periodic car cleansings.....
At any rate, I was thinking around the house trying to see if I can locate books for 6of8’s bookish book box (whenever it’s able to move along) when I came across this and decided to read it again. Such a fabulous book! I loved it all over again 😊
It wasn’t till I came here to journal that I discovered it should’ve already been released. I think I must be getting senile 😭

Now, do I take it to Little Big medicine this summer? Do I put it in the book box? Who knows when I can mail the box? What will happen in Arizona this summer? What will happen anywhere???

I received this book as part of the Bookish Book Box in memory of MaryZee and am taking it out of the box to read as it looks interesting.

Released 8 mos ago (8/9/2023 UTC) at Nina's Book Nook Little Free Library in Yorktown, Virginia USA

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

After this book spent several years (!) on my TBR pile, I finally read it last week. I really enjoyed it although it is a YA book. The author had a way of making you laugh while addressing very serious subjects. I featured it on the LFL Facebook page and will be releasing it in hopes that someone snatches it up.
