I got this softcover at Barnes and Noble. It's a science-fiction/crime/yaoi story set in a futuristic Tokyo where people can use drugs to enhance their abilities - instant mutant, more or less, though of course there are limits (and consequences). Criminals who use these drugs have become a major threat, with a special task force set up to fight them - using "Hangers", other criminals who agree to fight the supervillains in exchange for reduced sentences. Young Hajime is paired with the distant and dangerous Zeroichi, but their first mission does not go well; cue some back-story about Zeroichi's previous partners, and the introduction of a kinda-sorta rival team, Hibiki and Hashima, who interest me greatly {wry grin}.
I'm sending this to BCer HI77 in Florida as part of a multi-book swap. Enjoy!
