Tells the story of a young married woman who lies down on a chaise-longue and wakes to find herself imprisoned in the body of her alter ego ninety years before.
The writing is good, the premise of the story interesting and the horror that Melanie suffers is quite clear and we can feel it, but the ending left us with more questions than answers, no explanations for what happened are given and it’s not really clear what happens to Melanie. For me this can almost completely spoil a book.
