I very much appreciate the kindness of the BX friend who sent me this book. Having briefly met the author’s impressive daughter I was intrigued to know more of Viv’s life and career. She doesn’t hold back about her worst times, or ask for sympathy, just records her life with insight and honesty. She stirs the memories of those who also were there in the ‘70s. Her passion for music (and fashion!) will stay with me as will the depth of her commitment to her child, mother and many friends.
