Hope you enjoy reading this book
Thank you for the book & chocolate!
This seemed like an appropriate book to read this time of the year, just before Christmas. It’s truly a warm, feelgood family story.
The McBride sisters come together in their (adopted) family home once a year for Christmas eve. Although the three sisters have completely different personalities, they are all shaped by their traumatic childhood event of losing their parents in a mountain climbing accident.
There’s Posy, the youngest of the three, who is an energetic, fearless mountaineer who has never been away from home. Beth, who’s a stay at home mom who is eager to get back to work (being at home with my two litte ones at the moment, made me really relate to some of the aspects if Beth’s life). Lastly, there’s Hellen, who is a brilliant but emotionally closed business woman. All three sisters seem to envy each other, because they assume the other ones live a perfect & happy life (as people often tend to do).
When they get together for christmas, they start digging up their painful past and make decisions about the future. There’s a bit of conflict, family secrets, love and even an airport scene. Perfect relaxing chicklit!

I got this book as the winner of the Chicklit and Chocolate sweeps and now it gets to travel on as a last-minute HGG gift, together with some German Bookplates. I know it will arrive after Christmas, but I hope it can extend the reciever’s festive holiday feelings a bit longer.
I always try to post my controlled releases with real stamps. If you are not a collector yourself, you might want to check out this post on the forum about a stamps sweeps that I’m currently organising or this one about Bookcrossers who collect stamps. A lot of Bookcrossers collect stamps for charity, so it’s nice to find them a good home!

What a wonderful surprice to receive this book. Thank you so much, also for the Bookplates. The text on the back of the book sounds interesting. I enjoy it very much!
Have a Happy New Year, many greetings!
