I got this softcover from a local Salvation Army thrift store. It's an entertaining overview of scandals in various European royal houses across the centuries, and includes lots of historical tidbits and anecdotes. There are helpful family trees, timelines, and a bibliography, too, something that history-for-entertainment books sometimes omit. From marital scandals to horrifying abuses of power, from mad kings and queens to really questionable popes, the book kept my interest - and proved to be a good "carrying around" book, as it's easy to dip into it for short periods.

I left this book in the Little Free Library; hope someone enjoys it!
