Finding Love at the Christmas Market

A quick read but I like to read Christmas books to get me into the Christmas mood and with the present covid restrictions it was good to lose myself in this feel good festive offering, which ticks all the boxes! The story takes you from the UK to a German Christmas market on board a mini bus with a gaggle of pensioners from a residential home. The bus is driven by the resident home caterer called Connie, who is divorced with a son (currently on holiday with a girlfriend). The pensioners are there to release the ashes of a former resident, who originally came from Germany, and for Connie to meet up with her online date, named Baker Heinrich, that one of the elderly residents has set her up with. Of course nothing goes according to plan and the ending was a bit too contrived, but I enjoyed the read.
I have visited Germany many times but never visited a Christmas market there. Another one for my bucket list perhaps!
