My friend selected this for our small book club.

This book was chosen for our small, three-person bookclub and I thought it was absolutely gorgeous. The story is sweet and sad and obviously is at least partially autobiographical. It's the story of a young gay man and his secret lover in high school. It's a quiet book, full of love and loss and confusion. Originally written in French, the actress Molly Ringwald did the translation and it's amazing. You wouldn't know you weren't reading it in its original language at all. Some passages are just breathtakingly beautiful. I'm so very glad to have read it.
