A beautifully written book, spanning three continents and 60 years, narrated in each chapter by a different person but in different ways these people are affected by what happens at the beginning of the book when siblings Abdullah and Pari are taken to Kabul by their father. A very emotional story. Sometimes I did not want the chapters to finish so quickly (30 to 60 pages between chapters) because I wanted to stay with the character.

A wonderful read.
