I confess Iā€™m now a little in love with Felix. I was a bit dubious about starting this as Iā€™ve read quite a number of cat based books and with the exception of a few Iā€™ve been disappointed. They either try and oversell the ā€œspecialā€ qualities (that arenā€™t so special) or end on a sad note. This is quite a simple story and to begin with felt a bit repetitive and I thought oh no here we go! However I was soon sucked in and wanted to know more about Felix and how she settled in as a station cat. They tell her story in a way that shows sheā€™s actually quite an ordinary cat, and many times I thought one of mines done that or would be more than capable of doing that. The story of the run away child actually had me well up a bit which happens very rarely with books. I am now a follower on Facebook and instagram and look forward to seeing and hearing more about her.
