The postman only rang once today to hand me over this book :-)
Thank you, stephen-1702, for sending me this book, that was so nice of you! Ever since I read about it in Time Magazine I've wanted to read it, but didn't find the opportunity to do it. Now I will, eventually, it's going on my Mt. TBR.

edit: reserved for thebooklet2.

Journal Entry 4 by owlet from Maastricht, Limburg Netherlands on Thursday, October 7, 2004
This is one of those books that should never finish; you want to read on and on and on. It was a VERY enjoyable read, witty, extremely well written, I loved the way the writer adopted the way of talking of the characters (I could actually hear the voices in my head, yeah?). How they talk, converse, speak . Though numerous “sidepaths” were taken, the book was never confusing, the story was always easy to follow! I found it interesting how the past of (almost) every character was laid out (I only missed Alsana’s and that of Niece-of-Shame -how does Smith come up with such names, hilarious!), showing how important the past can be to better understand the decisions the character makes in the present.
The story is at times hilarious, touching, bewildering, and I loved how all the separate story lines finally come together in the end, working to a climax, everybody getting together, even World War II making an appearance!

Thank you so much for sharing this book with me, stephen1702! I’ll pass it on to thebooklet2 in Germany, hope she’ll enjoy it as well.

edit: thebooklet2 already has received another copy, so this is available!

I found this book on the shelf of the OBCZ Labyrinth, and I was vry proud to have finally caught a book. I explained the "concept" of bookcrossing to one of my friends, who then decided to give another book a new home...
