Purchased at Hobart Airport for the Evil Book Swap. A book “which should be highly desirable” - and it was! Recommended by John Faine on 774 Melbourne and I read this in less than two days. I found it very emotional as I read about the real life love story between Lale and Gilda who were incarcerated in Auschwitz. Unbelievable that they survived whilst so many around them were gassed or shot for no reason and Lale, the Tattoist, took so many risks every day. One very heartwarming story which arose out of the horror of the concentration camps.
