Found this book at the Palacio dos Marquêses da Fronteira on Friday June 7, 2019 while travelling with my best friends in Lisbon. I cannot wait to read this book!
I finished reading this book on June 16, 2019. What a good read!!!! Jon Krakauer truly immerses you into his treacherous and almost deadly experience climbing Mount Everest. Not only does he describe the horrifying details of his own journey, but he provides historical context, along with information of the other people he was climbing with. The only thing I didn’t particularly like was the amount of people he introduced into the book. It was difficult for me to keep track of all the different climbers, guides, and sherpas. Overall, I’m happy I came across this book and hope that another book lover will discover this next!
