I got this hefty softcover from this Little Free Library in Westford MA while dropping off some books of my own. It's a massive novel about a 12th century stonemason and his dreams of building a cathedral, but the story expands to touch on many other people and also features plenty of strife and tragedy. The novel inspired a 2010 mini-series, and has sequels that revisit the descendants of the main characters.[There's a TV Tropes page on the novel and adaptations, with some entertaining tidbits.]
