"Set in a dark, rainy northern town, Nesbo's Macbeth pits the ambitions of a corrupt policeman against loyal colleagues, a drug-depraved underworld and the pull of childhood friendships."
This was an extraordinary read. In a former industrial yet completely run down town of the 1970s the shakespearian characters (the author even adapted their names) are driven by love, ambition, power, greed and madness. Not what you usually expect from a thriller by Jo Nesbo however very exciting.
I had to page through Shakespeare's Macbeth afterwards.

Waiting for me on the RABCK table.
Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
A modern day re-telling of Shakespeare's Macbeth. Clever in parts, unconvincing in others, but overall never quite manages to get going. Not as gripping as I'd hoped.
A wishlist book posted to millycat.
Enjoy!
