Throwing the Diamond Hitch
2 journalers for this copy...
This is a combination of poetry and diary entries about a pack and roadster trip by two young women through the Rockies in 1951. It is mostly light hearted and full of exciting events. The hitch of the title is the only way to guarantee a pack horse's load staying in place. The diary entries were written by the two women at the time and the granddaughter of one wrote the poems to accompany it. There are a number of black and white photos.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
This is Lower Mainland Meetup for BookCrossing. We'll be here till about 8:30. We can't leave books here so anything not chosen has to go back with the bringers. Why not join us for coffee or whatever and enjoy some chatter about books, elections or whatever seems pertinent at the time.
A fun read! Picked up at the New West Bookcrossing Meetup.
But! I'm not wanting to let this one loose till I find a copy for my own.
