I bought this book last night at a book sale in support of my local library. I don't know a whole lot about Leah Remini other than her acting, but I've heard that she is a very interesting person so I thought I would give this book a try!
I read this book yesterday. It was an interesting and captivating read for me. I have never found myself living in a cult-like situation so for the most part I can only sympathise, but I see reflections in this work of the lives of other people who are very important to me, and I can definitely relate to all that come with toxic family relationships-- losing people you should never lose, and over ridiculous things at that; the pain and loneliness that go with those separations, and don't really go away even though you know you've made the best choice you can in your situation, etc.
I haven't really decided what I'm going to do with this book yet, but it will move along somehow at some point.

I have passed this on to a friend who I know has been wanting to read it <3
