The American Club---A Heritage and History Remembered
1 journaler for this copy...
The American Club of Kohler, Wisconsin was initially a residence for immigrant workers at the Kohler but it was much more than a residence. There were a lot of social programs helping immigrants adjust to life in America and programs to help the immigrants attain citizenship. There were also activities to help the immigrants spend time wisely instead of drinking in bars. The American Club was founded by John Michael Kohler who also founded the Kohler Company, a manufacturer of bathroom products such as sinks, faucets, etc. This book celebrates the history of the American Club. The American Club is now a five-star resort.
