This arrived in my mailbox today. It just happened that I was passing the front window while the postman was pulled up in front - a rare occurence. How exciting to get a parcel with an unexpected book , along with another parcel of used books I ordered for a new book club I've joined. As we're having a bit of a heat wave (it's expected to be 33 degrees C here today), this will be a perfect excuse to stay in the AC and read!!

It also included a nice postcard of the beach, some BC stickers, and a couple of bookmarks, one of which looks handmade. Thank-you!

Amusing, a bit confusing - it's never quite clear what's wrong with the protagonist that sends him to the "head doctor", and an interesting view into a world that's a bit different, that of a child in mid-20th century Dublin.

I'm counting this in the 666 Around the World Reading Challenge for 2023 for Europe / Ireland.
