I kept reading it hoping it would improve, and the last 10 pages were not too bad. I found the main characters Alice and Eileen so introspective and self absorbed, and their emails to each other were so boring. These were intelligent, educated women who were successful and they were so unhappy, and they were so wrapped up in their unhappiness. The male main characters Simon and Felix were not as bad and a bit more likeable. Quite a depressing read, certainly not uplifting. Will take to NZ Uncon and release there
