Quincy is a final girl. The only one left alive after a weekend getaway with some college friends turns into a night of horrors.
Lisa and Sam are also final girls left alive after their own night of horrors.
Lisa the oldest of the final girls wrote a book about her survival and has been a sort of mentor to Quincy (they have never met in person but have exchanged emails and phone calls) Sam the second final girl has dropped off the grid.
Quincy thinks she has put her past behind her. She has a successful online baking blog a stable boyfriend who is rising star in the Public Defenders office and a great apartment in NYC thanks to the proceeds of a lawsuit filed after her night of horrors. Everything is going ok until Coop the cop who rescued Quincy contacts her to let her know Lisa has killed herself!!

Good thriller/horror read with a bit of romance thrown in with Coop's unrequited love for Quincy. Bit of a love story to NYC and the area around Central Park too
