Really disappointed with this book not what the reviewers make it out to be. For me, it was mainly a story of how a young boy becomes mentally damaged and the consequences coupled with a multi-faceted romance. Some of the reviewers say that it is searing scorching a thriller shocking conclusion gripping, all of that is for people with a very low threshold of being on the edge of their seats. Near the end of the book I had pretty much figured out the conclusion and wasn't disappointed in that regards but that's not exactly what a suspenseful book is supposed to be. I don't think I'll be getting any more of Liz Nugent's books even though she writes well.
