I have read some Mary Balogh before so am looking forward to this one when I need an easy read between my more usual crime genre books. Off to tbr for a spell!
Well this did not last on tbr for any length of time at all! In fact, less than a month - something of a low record by my standards.
This was just as I expected and did not let me down at all in the fun and romantic escapism respect. However, for some strange reason, I had the feeling that this plotline was centred around an idea and the circumstances and characters contrived to 'fit in' to that idea. Therefore, this was not my favourite Mary Balogh book to date, but I cannot say that detracted in any way from my immediate enjoyment of the story and the weaving in of the characters to this second book in the Huxtable Family series. I will have to try and find the third now as I have read 1 and 2!!
I have no immediate plans for this book but that may change. until then, this is marked as available.
