Sacred Clowns

Author writes a well-written story. This is the first time he introduces Jim Chee (although the book blurb says he reunites Jim with Joe Leaphorn, so maybe I'm missing something here), and it makes for an interesting subtext. The author cautions that the Pueblo ritual described in the book is not true. This comes out of Native Americans dislike of letting non-members see traditional rituals. Since the ritual serves only to explain certain events, accuracy of ritual description isn't important - just the purpose of the ritual.
