I got this softcover from the ongoing book sale at the Dunstable MA public library, for another release copy.

I've enjoyed many books in the "Worst Case" series, both for their useful advice and, more often, for the snarky humor and sometimes wildly-offbeat scenarios. This college-themed one is definitely a mix of useful and questionable/humorous here, with advice on choosing a school, decorating on the cheap, and coping with incompatible roommates as well as increasingly-silly ways to avoid doing laundry. There are some rather serious sections on first aid, including a scary one about a hockey puck to the eye (!), and on how to escape from a riot at a concert or sporting event; then there are the more frivolous lists of ways to open a bottle if you don't have a proper opener, or how to chill beverages by hanging them outside the dorm window.

I left this book, bagged against the elements, at the William Blackstone monument on Broad Street, near the carved quotation about his orchard and books; hope the finder enjoys it!
