Finished! What a great idea. I especially love that these classical comics are offered in a variety of editions (original text, modern translation, plain bare-bones language, etc.). I can imagine teachers using the original text version and the modern translation version side by side and having students compare them, and then maybe having them write their own "quick text" version.
Reserving this to pass on to GoryDetails at some point.

Thanks so much for saving this for me! I've read a couple of other graphic-novel versions of the Scottish Play, including this rather far-out one: Puffin Graphics: Macbeth
, which pulls in some science-fiction elements for extra fun. But the original has plenty of drama and gore and witchery, and this version looks quite entertaining!
Later: Definitely a good introduction to the play, from the dramatis personae up front (very helpful in telling the characters apart) to the dramatic artwork (which exceeds itself in the climactic scenes involving the witches and the powers they invoke).
The bonus material is also much appreciated, from the historical bits on Shakespeare and the inspiration for Macbeth to the details on how the comic was adapted - and some speculation on why "the Scottish play" has such strong superstitions surrounding it.
[There's an extensive TV Tropes page
on the original play and many of its adaptations.]
