Book 2 in the Rivers of London

The song. That’s what London constable and sorcerer’s apprentice Peter Grant first notices when he examines the corpse of Cyrus Wilkins, part-time jazz drummer and full-time accountant, who dropped dead of a heart attack while playing a gig at Soho’s 606 Club. Another enjoyable installment in the Rivers of London series. I think I appreciated this one a little more than the first as the characters were more developed and I was used to the narrative voice; described elsewhere as "seasoning laconic humour with a dash of cynicism".
