Part of me wants to write all the emotions that I had while reading this story. I will just say that we all need to remember WW2. This book was very sad, but I read every word with a new understanding of what this period in time must have been like for all involved. I have heard some things from my mother who was a little girl during WW2 and a little about my grandfather who served as an American soldier in Germany. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the innocent civilians in all the countries involved. I am putting this in my to give away stack.
