This is not an ordinary book: it's a BookCrossing book! BookCrossing books are world travelers - they like to have adventures and make new friends...and every once in a while they even write home to say what they've been doing.

From the back cover:

• Where and when did the history of Chinese America begin?
• What is Zen?
• Why do Filipinos have Spanish names?
• How did the U.S. get involved in Vietnam?
• What is the difference between Hindu and Hindi?

Read this quite a while ago, but I remember it as interesting: lots of stuff I already knew, but also a fair bit that I didn't. Includes an index and a list of recommended reading.

When it comes to Filipino surnames (see above), I recently found an interesting article on the subject!
