My Goodreads review:
Horrors, a birthday gift from my daughter! ;)

Kill Creek is a house with a disturbing history. After the horrible murders of its original owner and his forbidden lover, it was abandoned and fell into disrepair. Elderly sisters eventually purchased and refurbished the house. They have a paranormalist visit and write a book about strange happenings and phenomenon occurring in the house. For a time, the house is 'famous', but then the sisters die, the house is once again abandoned and falls into ruin. Is the house haunted or is it all hype and rumor?

Justin Wainwright, son of billionaire rag-paper magnet, is a horror-lover. He has a website/vlog dedicated to it that has become popular. He invites four celebrated horror-writers to spend Halloween night in Kill Creek house to be interviewed as he and his assistant (and lover), Kate, live-stream. They all leave seemingly unscathed if slightly rattled by their experiences in the old house. One experiences a terrible, unrelated loss immediately after. Regardless, they all resume their normal lives. Except their lives don't feel so normal any longer. Each one feels irrevocably tugged toward the house over the weeks and months that follow until their sanity begins to unwind. It's only returning to the house together that might leave them any hope of normality again.

Is the house haunted. Is it alive? Are the ghosts of past owners restless and unsettled or has the house developed its own sentience? Whichever the case, the pull of the house is undeniable and the four authors' sanity rests in revisiting the house and finding their way back out alive.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Handed to a woman in a parking lot on Kirkwood Hwy. I was going to release them at the library where I was going next, but I saw her pull out and inspect four books from a tote bag while I was inside an establishment. I figured she was a book lover and would appreciate them!
