Delightful. Ann Patchett can paint a picture with a few well chosen words. She writes believable dialog. And this is certainly an interesting premise.
The magician that Sabine has worked for as the assistant for 20 years has died. He has left her with a mysterious family that she never knew about. A trip to visit them in small-town Nebraska exposes her to a life she never imagined.
