An ok read, but not great. There was something about the main character which I didn't warm to, I found her completely self absorbed and irritating even given the background reasons as to why this was so. Adam and Louis (?) were not very well drawn characters, very two dimensional.
The short chapters seemed arbitrary; particularly when in the latter part of the book one conversation was divided in two. I couldn't see the reason for this at all.
The sense of mystery was well sustained, I genuinely wanted to find out the outcome of the story. However the ending seemed rushed and without a full resolution. I was quite disappointed.
I've googled some of the local businesses mentioned in the book and they are real concerns. This must be amazing for those owners who are surely going to see some increased business, due to interest in this book written by a TV personality
