We've just selected this as our book club read for discussion in January 2020. I'll therefore start reading it soon.
I really enjoyed this Bizarre novel of the Devil visiting Russia.
I've passed this onto KT-J to read now.

Thanks Stubee. Completely failed to read this before our bookclub meeting but carrying on with it regardless!
Well, I read part one, had to try and get through another bookclub read, so then finally came back to it and read part two! Erm, not really sure what I thought about this! It was bonkers but humorous and enjoyable in places. I liked the Pontius Pilate story interwoven throughout the book. Following our bookclub discussion I also felt I had better insight about life under the regime in Moscow so could better get some of the allegories. It was just quite bizarre at some points though so while I'm glad I've read it (it's another 'classic' ticked off the list) I'm not sure I'd read it again, at least not for a good while!
