I gave this a try but it just didn't work for me and I gave up after about 70 pages. Headed back out into the world.

Picked up this softcover (signed by the author to a previous owner) at today's meetup; thanks!

Later: I often enjoy books written from multiple viewpoints, but while this one had its entertaining (and often heart-wrenching) bits, I can't say that I loved it. It's about twin babies whose mother dies, leaving their father with a choice: struggle to raise both girls or give one up for adoption so that he can give the other a better life. Neither of the girls are told that they have a twin, but eventually the now-adults find each other (um, spoiler?). I admit to considerable frustration about the secrecy here, but given the trauma of the mother's illness and death, perhaps I can't blame the father too much for the choices he made...
