Santa Steps Out
2 journalers for this copy...
I've read this and post a few journal entries here. This one saved for a friend in the UK who I think will enjoy this, or at least parts of it ;-)
Received in a surprise packed package from Zmrzlina, thank you :-).
I'll rate the book and write more when I've finished it but so far it's quite fun.
The TBR should be To Be Completed.

OK, so I've finished it...an interesting read. The sex is explicit but not graphic, it is also frequent but surprisingly brief in its episodes. Like Zmrzlina I found it slid away a little towards the back end but a twist at the end provides balance in more ways than one.
Horror is not a genre that I have read for many years so I can't really comment on that aspect of the novel. I liked the idea that our fictional icons had prior manifestations which leaked through when not strongly controlled.
The high point of the book, for me, was the description of Santa's emotional turmoil once his affair has been revealed and his struggle to resolve the internal conflict of love and desire.
I need to think carefully about where to release this one but hopefully a pub will ensure adult readership.

Given to an English Lady in Spain. I hope she enjoys the rest of the book as much as she appeared to enjoy the prologue :-).
