Journal Entry 1 by Nu-Knees from Knaresborough, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Saturday, August 4, 2018
This is one of four books I bought for £1 in the Cornwall Hospice Care charity shop, Launceston, Cornwall last week whilst staying in a holiday cottage in rural North Devon.
Journal Entry 2 by Nu-Knees at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, February 6, 2019
A rather heavy-handed tale of adventure in Regency England, full of love and menace. Unfortunately, the author's no Georgette Heyer and the novel lacks her light touch.
Plus, it's set in a very American Regency England! Not just the spellings but things like vest for waistcoat - and the floor numbering's all wrong. I found it irritating and hope the book's future readers are more tolerant.
Although I understand this to be one of a whole range of books about the extended Knight family, I won't be seeking any others. The love story of Damien Knight, Earl of Winterley, and Miss Miranda FitzHubert is more than sufficient excitement for me :-)

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Carrying sympathetic greetings to a BookCrossing friend.
Thank you Nu-Knees. I will pass this on to E.
Sorry Nu-Knees but this is not really Eunice's cup of of tea so I'm going to take it where it might find a more appreciative audience.

Picked up at the May York Bookcrossing meetup.
This is a ridiculous romp! I agree with Nu-Knees, this doesn't have the light touch of Heyer, but it was a diverting - and steamy - read.
