I got this slightly-battered softcover from this Little Free Library in Dover NH while dropping off some books of my own. It's the first volume of a series about struggles between (and among) bands of wizards, with pirates thrown in for good measure. (I've seen a few episodes of the anime series; goofy magical fun that gets darker as the series progresses.)[There's a TV Tropes page on the series, with some entertaining tidbits.]
