Cybermancy (Ravirn, Book 2)

This was an entertaining cyberpunk-mythological fantasy blend, and an easy read. The characters may be flat, and the plot is rather strung out, but the fast pace, engaging world-building, and zany adventures haul the reader through regardless. The dialogue is snappy and most of the characters bounce off each other well.
The biggest thing that made me drop a couple more stars was the casual sexism that honestly gets kind of creepy. The woman characters never really get to have any personality that isn't tied to them being sexy and/or useful (usually both) for the men, there is a lot of weird, out-of-the-blue flirting that involves assorted women tossing themselves at the male characters, and the extent of the objectifying gets uncomfortable. The one line that is really going to stick with me was from the main character's description of his girlfriend: "Her breasts are small and high, with pale nipples and clearly visible veins running through them, and you can count her ribs from fifteen feet." This is all presented in a "sexy" description, but I actually had to put the book down for a minute after reading that. If my girlfriend was ever that skeletal, I'd have serious medical concerns, not be luxuriating in my ability to count her ribs from across the room!
