In Navy Woman Catherine falls in love with Royce, her commanding officer. He is widowed with a 10 year old, who after meeting Catherine in the mall, adores her. Navy rules prevent them from dating each other, but that's not enough to keep them from falling in love. In the end, he transfers so he can marry her, and she resigns her commission when she finds herself pregnant.
