A series of short stories by various authors of various colours about what it's like living in the UK if you aren't white. Some are very powerful and really make you think, some of it's a bit repetitive (maybe they have similar experiences?), one comes across as a bit racist. Many of the stories are by people who are native born, several are mixed race, and I find it uncomfortable to see them described as immigrants. I can understand that the authors are saying that they feel perceived this way and that they're having to 'justify their place at the table' but some of this feels to me as though it promotes the view of difference. Anyway very much worth a read.

I found this selection of short stories very powerful and thought-provoking. Very personal accounts of what’s it’s like not to be white in the UK. I’ve already recommended it to a few people.
