Journal Entry 1 by JessicaEby from Cambridge, Ontario Canada on Thursday, July 19, 2018
I bought this book at a local charity shop in 2016. In 2017 I was doing a sesquicentennial project involving Canadian literature, so this book has been sitting in a drawer from the end of 2016 until this past week, but now I've taken it out and read it. My husband is really interested in ancient civilisations and I know he wants me to watch a series of documentaries about them (we've watched Assyria and Egypt is the next one up), so I thought a couple of quick, fun, diary-style reads might whet my appetite a bit!

Anyway, I thought the Egyptian book was pretty good. I read it quickly, in part because it held my interest well. It didn't end up quite as I was hoping, but it's based on a real girl's life and as such it kind of had to turn out a certain way!

I'm not sure just yet what my release plans are for this book, but I have a couple of ideas. It might stick around with me for a while before I let it go, but I guess we'll see!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

My husband and I live near downtown Preston. Although we've known of Anubis Coffee Importers Cafe & Roastery for a while, it really came onto our radar in September through its support of our local Terry Fox Run. We like to support businesses that do good within our community, so we have been in a couple of times since then. While we were there tonight we discovered a really yummy drink (Hot Nutella), and I left a book in the seating area with all the newspapers.

If you've found this book, thanks for picking it up and checking out its journal! If you're new to bookcrossing, welcome. We'd love it if you'd stick around with us a while. I really hope that you enjoy both this book and the whole bookcrossing experience!

This book was released as part of a few games/challenges here on BookCrossing. Firstly, it was a link in the "Release Chain with City, Country, River"; Secondly, it was released as part of the 2019 "52 Towns in 52 Weeks" Release Challenge-- my hometown, Cambridge, was Town #4 for me this year; Thirdly (and finally), it was released as part of the "Becky's Hugs" Release Challenge organised by BookCrosser ResQGeek to release children's/teen's books in memory of his beloved daughter, Becky (BookCrosser N-R-Jyzer), who passed away several years ago as the result of an accident (please see http://www.BeckysHugs.com for more information).
