My first exposure to Meg Chapin/Corey wasn't a pleasant one. I'd hoped to learn a lot about her agricultural business (apple orchard), since cozies are known for focusing on the personal and profeesional lives of amateur sleuths and not so much on the crime victims themselves. Too many red herrings, a lot of stilted dialogue and hemming & hawing from Meg, AKA impeding an official investigation. I can see why the local cops get so annoyed with her.
Not a series I would choose to keep reading.
