The Murder Room

P.D. James is just about as good as mystery writers come. The Murder Room is not her best work, in my opinion, but it is still far better than most mystery fiction.
In this book, James does her best to begin to give Commander Dalgliesh a social life. While he is definitely smitten, he is far from comfortable with the new woman in his life.
The pace, as usual, is leisurely, and the plot is satisfying.
