Detective novel about fraud in academic surroundings, written by a scientist. From the blurb:

"Robert Compton’s body was found on the beach in Long Beach, California. Professor Compton had been an excellent scientist with a penchant for exposing fraud committed by other scientists. One of the accused had threatened Compton. He was also competing with the victim on studies of a compound from grapes that may make people healthier as they age. FBI Supervisory Special Agent Steve Jude and his associates follow paths that twist and turn before they resolve the mystery. "

The plot is fine but the book could use a good editor to improve the language.

On the table in front of the Shadyside Market Deli, 5414 Walnut Street. This is a thematic release: the book has been released very closely to some boxes of perfect grapes, that will definitely support healthy aging.
