Von Igelfeld gave the dog a push. The wheel refused to go round, so that the dog turned in circles as it paddled with its remaining leg. It needed oiling.

This is the second book about Professor von Igelfeld, and I enjoyed it more than the first. Probably because I am used to the main character, and his foibles. He has a love interest in this one, which is entertaining.

I haven't read the first book in this series but I didn't find it too hard to pick up the story. Quirky characters and light, easy reading.
